River City Bank, which celebrates it second anniversary on May 23rd, hasnow accumulated total assets of $162 million, according to Eddie Wilson, CEO. Thisperformance exceeds the bank’s original projected asset goal of $ 75 million for the first24 months of operation.
Wilson spoke to the bank’s shareholders at the recent annual meeting of shareholders onMay 12, and commented that River City Bank “continues to be blessed by the response ofthe Rome/Floyd community in our first two years of operation. It affirms our belief that we have put the right team of talented local bankers in place, and that our style of hometown, community banking is very appealing in Rome and Floyd County. In addition, our style of community banking has been met with great approval in Carroll County as well!”
The bank opened its first affiliate location, River City Bank of West Georgia, in Carrollton in October, 2007. To date, it has accumulated assets of approximately $32Million.
Overall, the bank has accumulated total deposits of $128 million, with total loansoutstanding of $125 million.
In addition, all 16 of the Bank’s current Directors were re-elected at the shareholdersmeeting.
With respect to the new Main Office facility in Rome, the bank is planning a ribboncutting and Open House on Friday, May 23rd at 8:30 a.m., to coincide with the bank’sFounders Day celebration. The public is cordially invited.
